Prosciutto Ciabatta Sandwich

The fresh flavours of basil and crisp vegetables mixed with the tangy flavour of balsamic vinegar are delicious in this prosciutto sandwich on ciabatta bread.


  1. Slice square ciabatta rolls in half, and place cheddar and prosciutto on the first half.
  2. Thinly slice cucumbers and avocados and layer on top of the prosciutto.
  3. Place slices of tomato on top, sprinkle with pepper and salt, then drizzle with olive oil and a small amount of balsamic vinegar. Cover with fresh basil leaves.
  4. Top with the other half of ciabatta and serve.


  • 4 ciabatta rolls (6 inch)
  • 4 ounces of prosciutto
  • 8 slices of cheddar
  • 2 ripe tomatoes
  • 2 small cucumbers
  • 1 avocado
  • Small bunch of fresh basil
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Balsamic vinegar
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper
